  READING the two interesting stories concerning submarines in the Warrington Guardian recently, they reminded me of my son, Andrew, who, 36 years ago, was in his last year of St John's School, when a visit was paid by the captain of the HMS Andrew submarine, that was docked overnight at Latchford Locks. read more

• Mail charge is ridiculous

  TODAY I received my second card in as many months from Royal Mail, Warrington, telling me that they have a letter for me that they cannot deliver because the sender paid six pence too little postage. read more

• Sort out all potholes

  HAVING recently returned from holiday, I read in the Warrington Midweek and Warrington Guardian about David Mowat filling in a pothole in Walton. read more

  IT seems more traffic chaos is about to occur on Cromwell Avenue with the introduction of lights at Calver Road. read more
