  WE are shocked and dismayed by the comments made by Clr Ian Marks with regard to the demonstration at the Town Hall on Monday, October 29. read more

• Alternative?

  THERE has been plenty of debate recently about the new lights on Cromwell Avenue and now we are told that the council will spend £500k putting in a slip road to take traffic turning left on to Westbrook Way for Asda. Surely, a more sensible approach would be to make the petrol station Asda access exit only' and make the traffic travel down to the roundabout at the cinema. read more

  I WISH to correct an error which has occurred in Warrington Guardian reports several times during the past few weeks concerning the regimental reunion weekend functions of The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and which has been referred to in your pages as marking the end of the Second World War'. read more
