  ISN'T it time that Warrington Borough Council's taxi licensing committee looked at the fares charged by the taxis they license, and indeed, who they issue licences to. read more

• Orford has a park for all

  IS there anybody out there who can explain to me why it takes six weeks or more to issue a new or to replace an out-of-date blue badge? read more

• How long must I wait?

  IN response to the letter by the secretary of Warrington and District Ladies Bowls, printed in the Warrington Guardian on October 25 - I would like to reassure her and your readers that the needs of older people in the town have most certainly not been neglected in the plans for the Orford Park project. read more

• We have a right to protest

  COUNCIL leader Clr Ian Marks says he is disappointed that young people have been misled into believing that protesting against the closure of Woolston High School will aid their cause. read more

• We will not keep quiet

  ON October 4 I e-mailed a number of Warrington councillors and the town's two MPs putting forward my concerns and objections to the proposal to close Woolston High School. read more

• Make it easier to be green

  I WOULD like to open an issue which is topical in Parliament at this time; a new piece of legislation, neatly hidden away by those who'd rather it went unseen, included in the Climate Change Bill, which the Labour Government is pushing through Parliament. read more
