BREAKING NEWS Employee charged over Greenalls fire

A 55-YEAR old man has today, Thursday, been charged over the Greenalls blaze.

And the distillery has confirmed that the man is a Greenalls employee.

WarringtonGuardian.co.uk can exclusively reveal the Walton man has been accused of the £40 million brewery inferno.

He faces charges of arson with recklessness to endanger life.

He will appear at Warrington Magistrates Court next Friday, 7th July.

Police say the incident, which was in October last year, is the one of the biggest fires in the UK in recent years, and is the largest blaze in Cheshire for the last 20 years.
