Hale Carnival
COMIC book characters are the theme of this year's Hale Carnival which takes to the streets of the historic village on Saturday.
Festivities start at 10.30am in Hale Park.
Rose queen Emma Craine will ride through the village in a horse drawn carriage shortly after noon.
Vintage tractors, line dancers and a children's fancy dress competition are included in the programme of events.
