Join in the fun

THE annual 5k fun run takes place this Sunday, starting and finishing at Comberbach Primary School, in Mather Drive.

For those who don't want to run, there will be a charity walk.

The person aged over 16 who raises the most sponsorship will be presented with the George Walker Shield.

Start times are 1pm for the charity walk, 1.30pm for the 5k fun run and 1.35pm for the junior fun run, which takes place around the school field.

The Marion Taylor trophy will be awarded to the junior under 16 who raises the most sponsorship money.

All money raised will go towards the Imagine appeal at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool, which is the rose queen Imogen Hughes' choice.
