A MANAGER who stole more than £10,000 from Lymm High School has agreed to pay most of it back.
Julie Bradley was given a suspended jail sentence last year for stealing money from the safe while she was the leisure centre manager.
She stole the money over 15 months to pay for a honeymoon and to pay off credit card bills.
She appeared at Warrington Crown Court on Friday for a proceeds of crime hearing where she said she was able to pay back £7,500 of the £10,700 she stole.
Her thefts were discovered by another worker, Judith Lawson, who noticed money was not being passed from the leisure centre to the school. The worker also found empty money bags in the safe, which only Bradley had access to.
Bradley, from Sandringham Road in Hyde, Manchester, was given a 45-week jail sentence, suspended after she pleaded guilty to a charge of theft from an employer at Warrington Magistrates' Court.
She resigned from her job following an investigation by Warrington Borough Council.
