Be aware of gas danger

THE DANGERS of the so-called silent killer carbon monoxide will be highlighted at an open meeting.

Everyone is welcome to listen to guest speaker Alan Thorton, area service manager of Corgi, at Upton Community Centre, Hough Green Road, Widnes on Wednesday, March 22, at 7.30pm.

"The dangers of carbon monoxide can arise both in the home and work environment," said Runcorn mum Lynn Griffiths, who founded the CO Awareness group.

"Many people are affected by these dangers simply through lack of knowledge and vigilance."

A CO detector will be given away in a free raffle.
