Armed robbery at store

DETECTIVES are hunting an armed man who robbed a Co-op store in Widnes last week.

The man, brandishing a knife, threatened staff and demanded money before escaping on foot with a small amount of cash.

He is described as white, wearing dark clothing, and he had his face covered.

Staff and customers escaped physical injury in the incident, which happened at the Late Shop in Derby Road last Tuesday at 7.10pm.
