Princess says it with flowers

WITH hundreds of onlookers crowding the streets the Princess Royal arrived in Stockton Heath yesterday.

Princess Anne smiled and waved as she got out of her black Bentley on London Road.

She visited the Save the Children store of whom she is patron, which she opened nine years earlier.

Appleton pensioner Renee Pickering waited for two hours to get a glimpse of the regal entourage.

She said: "I think the princess is wonderful, all the royals are. I have travelled all over the country just to see them. I even went to London for Charles and Diana's wedding."

Despite the chilly weather more than 200 people flocked to see the Her Royal Highness. Princess Anne also visited The Gateway later in the day
