Driver hijacked, goods stolen

AN attacked van driver was dumped in Warrington after his van was hijacked on the M6.

The victim, from Nantwich, was hit over the head and his wrists bound with rope when he returned to his DAF vehicle at Sandbach services.

Two masked men then bundled him into a white Ford Transit van while a third drove the stolen vehicle filled with toiletries last Wedensday.

A trailer was also attached.

A spokesman for Warrington police, said: "He was later found un-injured in Alder Root Lane in Warrington after being pushing from the van.

"The trailer unit was found alight on 2.15 p.m. near to Junction 6 of the M61 near Aspull."

More than 30 pallets of L'Oreal products were snatched from the van.
