Crunch time

LATCHFORD Albion will take on Oldham St Annes' second team in a potential promotion decider on Saturday.

Albion travel to table-toppers St Annes in a crucial match after a 31-24 weekend win at Adlington lifted them to third in North West Counties Amateur Rugby League Division One with three matches to play.

Craig Middlemore's try put Albion ahead against Adlington.

John Williams then battered his way over the line and Latchford led 22-6 at half time as Andy Dean and Tony Faitaua scored, with Gavin Bishop adding three goals.

Bishop then gathered his own chip to run in a converted try after the break and, although Adlington replied with two quick tries, Glynn Taylor burrowed his way over and Bishop registered a drop goal.
