Help nightclub find its Mojo

CONGLETON teenagers are being urged to support a new club night aimed at them.

Rob and Amy Griffiths are hoping to make the club nights at the Snooty Fox Nightclub a regular event.

The couple live in Congleton, and Rob has worked as a doorman at the High Street club for 18 years.

Rob and his wife realised there was a demand for a club night for under-18s and are planning monthly Mojo parties.

The first Mojo night is planned for next Wednesday, February 22, and will run from 7pm to 11pm.

Rob and Amy have paid £250 to rent the club for the night and need 80 youngsters to support the event to break even.

Tickets are £4, which could be cheaper at future club nights if the first one makes a good profit.

The Mojo parties will serve only soft drinks and crisps and Rob is happy for parents to come along on the night to see what happens to reassure themselves.

"Local teenagers don't have a youth club and we're hoping to make the evening the same as the usual club nights - but with soft drinks rather than alcohol," said Rob.

"We are aiming the nights at the 11 to 17 and over age group, and having a club night in Congleton will mean parents not having to drive their children to Stoke or other large towns.

"We have had great feedback from parents about the new music nights, and hope to see hundreds of teenagers there."
