Bang up jobs at new look complex

A LEADING audio visual retailer could be the first to take up rooms in the prestigious former Lamb Hotel development in Nantwich.

Danish-based Bang & Olufsen is set to establish its first South Cheshire store at the historic old hotel, which has been redeveloped by Muller Homes.

The Scandinavian chain already has branches in Chester and Macclesfield but bosses are excited at the prospect of taking part in Nantwich's regeneration.

Tony Smith, the franchise's principal dealer, says that the catchment area of the new town outlet will stretch from Shrewsbury, Stone and Market Drayton to Crewe, Sandbach and Alsager.

"It is such a fantastic location and geographically it is going to be serving South Cheshire and North Staffordshire," he told the Guardian.

The firm will create a handful of new position to run alongside the opening - which has generated a great deal of interest back in Denmark.

The company intend to market their Nantwich venture as a 'flagship', and are set to trial a number of merchandising initiatives there.

Much of the shop fittings will be specially imported to the branch from Scandinavia.

Bang and Olfusen also operate northern branches in Stafford, Liverpool and Manchester.

l The historic frontage of the Lamb Hotel has also been uncovered for the first time in months. Conversion works are still ongoing inside but previously the Nantwich landmark has been surrounded by 10 foot high hoardings.
