School joins the IT crowd

CLEDFORD Junior School has proved it is at the cutting edge of technology with an accreditation in information technology.

The school, in George Sixth Avenue, has received national accreditation for ICT which has led to it being assimilated into the new Becta National ICT Mark.

Staff ahad to produce a large portfolio of evidence to prove the school is constantly improving ICT and they are delighted with the results.

A spokesman said: "We are one of the first schools to gain this mark. It simply means we teach good quality ICT in school and make full use of our excellent facilities."

Matthew Cann, 10, and teacher Martine Clewes celebrate the ICT accreditation.
