Lewis Carroll helps university to celebrate the 'odd and unusual'

FANS of Warrington born Lewis Carroll can discover a whole new meaning to his words next month.

Science In Wonderland is being held at the Gateway on March 17 and will look at the scientific reality behind the theories in the much loved author's book.

The evening will be one of a series of events held throughout Cheshire as part of the University of Chester's annual science festival.

The event is being hailed as a quirky celebration of the odd and the unusual in science, with the university's Danny Morrell using Lewis Carroll's fiction as a starting point.

The event, sponsored by Warrington Borough Council's Lifelong Learning initiative, starts at 7pm.
