Her ups and downs led Nikki to change her life

WEIGHING in at more than 14 stone, yo-yo dieter Nikki Edwards never thought she would be an inspiration to thousands of women across the UK.

But thanks to her local diet and fitness club and plenty of determination, she's done just that, after she lost more than four stone.

The 30-year-old, from Warrington, even appears in the March issue of Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness magazine sharing the secret of her success.

At her heaviest, Nikki was 14st 8lb, having been overweight since her schooldays when she was always the biggest, heaviest and tallest in her class.

The pounds continued to pile on as an adult when a love of high fat food and a lack of exercise caused her weight to rise.

It was when she began to retrain as a health visitor that she decided to join the Rosemary Conley Health and Fitness Club in Warrington where the instructor, Sharon Jones, helped her reach her goal weight of 10st 7lb.

Nikki said: "I didn't want to talk to people about healthy lifestyles when I was overweight myself so after yo-yo dieting for 14 years I decided to take the plunge and join the club.

"It was so straightforward and simplistic I was amazed; after being baffled by diets over the years I couldn't believe how simple it made it. It credited me with a bit of intelligence and made a lot of sense.

"I feel fitter and healthier than I have ever felt and intend to keep it that way. I feel truly empowered by knowing that I will no longer be a slave to yo-yo diets."

Now Nikki has a fantastic new figure to go with her new job and even her husband Steve has managed to lose three stone.
