1966 World Cup heroes coming to Warrington event

TWO events involving major sporting personalities are being staged by Ray Fisher's Warrington promotions company.

The friend to the stars will be bringing 1966 World Cup heroes to Warrington in April, but before that he has a date with heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Sports fanatic Fisher brought Tyson over from America for a successful dinner tour at the end of 2005 and will follow up with a theatre show in Manchester on March 31.

The show will be choreographed and will take place at the Carling Apollo, where boxers Frank Bruno and Ricky Hatton will be in attendance alongside ex-Manchester United and Manchester City footballers. Tickets are £50 each and can be purchased from Ray Fisher Promotions by contacting 414123.

Fisher, the former Tetley Walker soccer team manager, looks set to be on another hit event with the Boys of '66 reunion dinner at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on April 7.

England heroes from the famous 1966 World Cup win at Wembley Stadium - Geoff Hurst, Gordon Banks, Martin Peters and Jack Charlton - will be the special guests two months prior to the 2006 World Cup starting in Germany.
