Are pubs dog-friendly?

CALLING all landlords. Is your pub open to the four-legged friends of your customers?

A growing number of pubs across the UK are inviting dog owners to bring their canines on to the premises.

But so far a website dedicated to listing dog-friendly pubs has no entries from Warrington watering holes and drinkers in the town are having to leave their pets at home if they fancy popping out for a pie and a pint.

www.doggiepubs.org.uk keeps dog owners up to date with pubs that welcome well behaved canines.

Maureen Davies, of Lovely Lane says: "As far as we know there are no doggie friendly pubs locally so it'd be great if we could get some listed from the town.

"The ones we have visited are happy to have well behaved pooches on the premises, always on a lead of course and in some places restricted to one area."
