Tasty performance by Tracey

BERKELEY Primary School's Tracey Robinson cooked up a storm to be named the North-West's second-best school chef.

Tracey, who has worked at the school for around seven years, tantalised the judge's taste buds to walk off with second place in the North-West regional final of the LACA School Chef of the Year competition.

The Cheshire Business Services employee, who qualified for the final by winning the Cheshire heat, also scooped the Highly Commended Dessert prize for her 'hot date in Cheshire' - a caramelised apple dish.

The North-West final was held in Knowsley last week.

Tracey, pictured, said: "I was thrilled to come second.

"The teachers and children have all been so supportive of me, and I was so pleased to win the award for my dessert."
