ORGANISERS of this year's Winsford Town Festival have been amazed by the number of up and coming bands wanting to perform at the event.
Requests to play at the festival have flooded in and it promises to be a memorable showcase of the town's musical talents.
Festival committee chairman Steve Smith said: "I think the festival has become one of those must play events for young bands.
"It is a great stage for them to play on and it just goes to show how much young musical talent we have in the area."
Plans for the festival are already well under way but volunteers are still needed to help out at the event, which will take place on June 3 and 4.
Steve said: "Everything is going fantastically well and it should be a wonderful occasion for the town.
"I would love to hear from anyone who would be able to help out on the day in any way they can."
