Wire FM's £4,000 fundraiser

CHARITY efforts took place across the town on Friday for Wire FM's annual Bring a Pound to Work Day.

Members of the team travelled across Warrington, Runcorn and Widnes collecting money to be given to three charities: Warrington Disability Partnership, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Halton Disability Services. The day raised £4,000 for the three charities.

Paul Holmes, Wire FM's programme manager, said "Once again we were overwhelmed by the generosity of companies and schools across our region.

"We're always happy to support local charities in any way we can."
