Broomhead linked to job

FORMER head of Warrington Borough Council Steven Broomhead has been linked with a move to Liverpool City Council.

Mr Broomhead has been talked about as a possible successor to Sir David Henshaw who will leave the chief executive's post in March.

Currently chief executive at the Northwest Development Agency, he is acknowledged as one of the most powerful political figures in the region.

Lymm resident Francis Done, who was key in organising the 2002 Commonwealth Games, has also been linked with the post.
