Police ask for your help to trace town centre sex attacker

COULD CCTV images help catch a dangerous sex attacker?

Detectives hope these newly released photographs will help in the hunt for a gang wanted for an unsolved sex attack on a teenage girl.

She was attacked in an alley off Market Way in the town centre at 9pm on November 4.

A spokesman for Warrington police said: "She was subjected to a serious sexual assault."

The incident happened three months ago, the evening before Bonfire Night but so far police have been unable to catch those responsible.

The victim had been with a friend when they bumped into three unknown men before being isolated with one of the trio in the dark walkway. Detectives say this man then attacked her.

The attacker, who the police

believe is called Thomas, was in his 20s, and about 5ft 11ins tall with brown spiky hair.

At the time of the attack he wore blue jeans, a green T-shirt with white or blue writing on and an unzipped, blue hooded jacket.

His friend is described as very tall and skinny with long dark hair.

He was wearing a dark blue short sleeved round neck T-shirt with writing on it, and dark coloured trousers. He is thought to be called Richard.

The final man was also 5ft 11ins tall and muscular in build.

He has a shaven head and was wearing a black round-necked long sleeved jumper, and combat trousers.

Anyone with information should call DC Moira Hay on 01244 613835 or Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
