The search is on to find Mr and Mrs Romantic

LOVE is in the air and with Valentine's Day fast approaching the hunt is on to find a couple with the right recipe for romance.

The Guardian has teamed up with the owners of Amor@Oaklands, the new restaurant at The Oaklands Hotel in Gorstage, to find the most romantic couple in mid Cheshire.

Hotel manager Craig Buchanan is offering one lucky couple the chance to be treated with some tender loving care, winning a gourmet three-course supper including champagne, red roses and chocolate.

Craig said: "We are looking for the most romantic couple - they can be husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend or partners, as long as they they've got what it takes to prove they are in love.

"We're running the contest to celebrate the launch of our newly opened restaurant. Amor means love and we definitely have the recipe for romance.

"For Valentine's Day we've chosen our menu carefully - with perfect aphrodisiacs such as fruity wines and sinfully sweet desserts.

"We hope the lucky couple will enjoy a mood-setting night in our new bar and restaurant."

Dave McGrogan, who owns Amor in Frodsham, bought the hotel from record producer Pete Waterman and other partners last year, and has revamped the building which will open just in time for the most romantic day of the year.

He said: "We're really excited about the changes and we can't wait to share the whole experience with our regular customers and new visitors."

So, if think you have what it takes to be Mr and Mrs Romantic, tell us three reasons why you deserve this prize.

Email your reasons to gsproston@guardiangrp.co.uk or write to Gemma Sproston, 15 Market Street, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 5DT, by Friday, February 10.
