GREAT Sankey High School have two teams in the regional semi finals of the Powergen Champion Schools tournament.
Their year nine rugby league team have been handed a home tie against Wigan's St John Fisher Catholic High School in the last four of the north-west stage.
They previously won 62-4 at Barrow school Walney in the quarter finals, having triumphed 44-0 at Southlands, of Chorley, in the second round.
The team need to win two more matches to reach the last 16 of the national stage, with the final being held in London on Challenge Cup Final weekend.
Great Sankey's year eight team are also still in the hunt and have been drawn at home to Netherhall Specialist Sports College, of Maryport, Cumbria, in the semi finals after winning 56-8 at Barrow school Dowdales in the quarter finals.
William Beamont Sports College's year 11 side are the other Warrington team left in the competition, having won 34-6 at Chorley's Holy Cross in the second round.
They have been drawn away to Whitehaven School in the quarter finals of the regional stage, with a home tie against Oldham's Counthill or St Peters, of Orrell, awaiting the winners in the semi finals.
Cardinal Newman High School exited the year 11 event in the second round after losing 38-4 at St Helens school Rainford.
