ANDREW Scowcroft scored a late goal to give Lymm Hockey Club victory against Deeside in North West Division Nine South.

Scowcroft finished off a good move with a powerful strike five minutes from time to maintain Lymm's commanding lead at the top of the division.

Deeside ran Lymm close though and took the lead from a short corner after Scowcroft's early goal had been disallowed.

But Scowcroft did score just before half time to level the scores, only for Deeside to regain the lead 10 minutes into the second period.

Lymm hit back to equalise as Bunn charged down the left-hand side before finding Stebbing, who smashed the ball into the top corner, and Scowcroft scored his second of the match to clinch the win.
