A TYRE dealer joined forces with a host of celebrities to help raise more than £1,500 for charity at a truck show last month.
Tyreworld, in Croft Street, Widnes, joined five other tyre outlets from across the region in displaying a replica Ferrari Formula One car at the Truckfest North West Show at Haydock Park racecourse.
Coronation Street stars Bill Ward and Tina O'Brien, who play Charlie Stubbs and Sarah Louise Platt, and Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, were on hand to support the show.
Visitors got the chance to have their photos taken with the stars and to get up close to the Formula One car and a racing simulator supplied by Bridgestone.
Barry Davies, Owner of Tyreworld, said: "We're all delighted by how successful this event has been and we're very grateful for all the help and support we received over the weekend - from the celebrities who gave up so much of their time to all those who dug deep to donate cash."
The money raised will go to the Bauleni Street Kids Project, which supports and educates underprivileged children in the city of Lusaka in Zambia.
