Recycle your paper call

WARRINGTON Borough Council is urging people to recycle the different paper that clutters their homes.

With many families going on their holidays over summer, September is traditionally a quiet month for recycling according to Warrington's recycling partner UPM Shutton.

However, both Warrington and UPM are keen to point out that paper also builds up in September as children go back to school and catalogues go out of date.

Clr Jeff Richards wants people to be aware that all forms of paper can be recycled and re-used.

He said: "The most popular thing to recycle is newspaper, but we need residents to remember that other kinds of paper can be recycled too."

The recycled paper that is collected is used to manufacture newsprint, which is then sold back to local papers and national papers over the UK, including the Warrington Guardian.
