Warrington Wolves 33 Leeds Rhinos 16

WARRINGTON Wolves celebrated Andrew Johns' debut by defeating Leeds Rhinos 33-16 at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday night.

The Newcastle Knights loan player was inspirational to his new teammates and tries were scored by Henry Fa'afili, Martin Gleeson, Brent Grose, Logan Swann and Nathan Wood, who was playing his last league game at the ground.

Johns converted six kicks from seven attempts and added a drop goal for good measure in front of the highest crowd of the season on an emotional night.

For full reflections of the game, all the build-up to Friday's Hull battle, a pull-out poster marking Johns' debut, and interviews with Johns, Fa'afili, Andy Bracek, Paul Cullen and Wolves' chief Simon Moran, see Thursday's Warrington Guardian.

And don't forget to visit this site on Thursday afternoon from 2pm for a live webchat with the one and only Joey Johns.
