DESPITE bad weather and a poor turnout the bands that took part in the first young musicians showcase at The Bull Ring have been praised for their performance.
On Saturday afternoon a trio of bands - Man Made Mayonnaise, Slip Stream and No Offence Taken - each played a 45-minute live set at the amphitheatre and although the turnout wasn't as impressive as organisers had hoped, plans are already in place to hold another music showcase at the town centre gateway.
Dave Thompson, Middlewich Town Council's event organiser, said: "Although attendance was low the three bands were excellent and I look forward to inviting them all back to Middlewich soon."
The next showcase will feature young folk and roots musicians and takes place at The Bull Ring amphitheatre from midday on Saturday, September 24
Dave is keen to invite music, drama and school groups to use the amphitheatre. If you would like to perform at the venue, contact Dave by ringing 01606 834726 or email dave.middlewichevents@btconnect.com.
