Mark makes market's history come alive

AROUND every corner at Warrington Market is a story to be told.

And Granada Television presenter Mark Olly will bring the tales to life with a weekend of guided tours.

Mr Olly, who presents the Lost Treasures programme, will reveal fascinating true stories and fascinating facts and may even have the answer to mysteries, including whatever happened to the old market clock?

Stephen Pickering, market manager, said: "The market plays a vital role in our town's cultural heritage, and particularly with our 750th anniversary I thought it important to remember it. Everyone is welcome to come along and share memories of the market in this fun event."
