Fan Aaron heads down under - as Johns jets in

A LITTLE Warrington Wolves fan was treated to the experience of a lifetime just days before he and his family embark on the trip of a lifetime.

Six-year-old Aaron Derbyshire met his heroes on a special trip to the Wolves' Halliwell Jones home, just days before he and his family emigrate to the land down under.

And ironically, the mad keen Wolves fan will fly out today, Thursday, just days after new rugby hero Andrew Johns headed in the opposite direction.

Aaron, who plays for the Rylands Sharks, waved goodbye to Warrington with a trip to watch the players train ahead of the Wolves' clash with Salford on Sunday.

Grandad Trevor Taylor said Aaron's love for the Wolves started at the beginning of this season.

He said: "He used to be a big Manchester United fan but his dad took him to the first Warrington game of the season and he has been hooked ever since.

"He knows all the players' names and he has got all the autographs.

"The club was absolutely brilliant with him on Friday. It is such a family club and Paul Cullen and all the players could not do enough for him."

Aaron, who attends Latchford CE Primary School, is emigrating with mum and dad Andrew and Samantha to Brisbane.

Grandad Trevor says the first thing young Aaron will be doing when he arrives in Brisbane is finding a television so he can watch Johns' debut.

"And the next thing he will be doing is to find a club he can play for.," added Mr Taylor.

"He told Paul Cullen on Friday that the next time he will be seeing him is when he signs him in a few years time!"
