A GREAT day out was enjoyed by children when the Old Man of the Woods relived some of his adventures from the past 200 years.
It was organised by Sankey Valley Park Rangers in Lady's Walk Wood and, on Saturday, September 10, there is another chance to take part in family fun activities, when arty youngsters are invited to make woodland sculptures.
Ranger Steve Meays said: "About a dozen children came to listen to stories about the woodlands from long ago and we hope people enjoy our sculpture event as much."
Children are invited to build a woodland sculpture in the woods made entirely out of natural materials.
Mr Meays said: "Dragon, bat, rat, who knows. Come along and help us decide what to make."
Meet at Bewsey Bridge near to the Lodge Lane car park at 1.30pm on Saturday, September 10.
