Evaluators are ready

A CRACK team of young evaluators from Woolston CE Primary School are ready to take on education issues in the town after completing their 12-month training with Warrington Youth Federation.

The team of six pupils has now completed training as young evaluators, giving them the skills to assess children's projects in schools and clubs.

For their first evaluation project, the team visited schools across the town where they led consultation sessions with 24 children from each school looking at anti-bullying policies.

The team asked representatives from each school about their policy and looked at how it worked to reduce the problem.

From the project, the young evaluators will produce a booklet offering advice, ideas and children's opinions of how to address bullying.

The booklets will then be distributed to all schools in the town.

The young evaluators will hold a celebration evening at the Tim Parry and Jonathan Ball Young People's Centre in October to showcase their work and to promote the booklet.
