Chilling out proves the way forward

A YOGA instructor has found interest in the exercise has reached all new heights since he relocated his business from Barnton to Castle.

Classes held at the Yoga and Therapy Centre, at Castle and Winnington Old Friends meeting club on Barbers Lane, have proved increasingly popular and owner and instructor Doug Bowler believes the extra space available has generated interest.

He said: "Now we have the space we can care for so many people and we have classes in the day time as well as in the evenings. There is even a class for the more mature which is going very well indeed.

"We practice Dru Yoga, which uses a combination of physical and mental exercise to promote flexibility, reduce stress and increase stamina and strength.

"The nice thing is it's easy to do so it can include almost anyone."

And Doug believes yoga is a great exercise for mind and body alike.

He said: "Yoga can help people to really straighten themselves out - in more ways than one - and to cope with the stress of modern life."
