Hospitals boss is suspended

THE chief executive of Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been suspended while an investigation takes place.

Alan White, trust chairman, said: "In a confidential draft report the Healthcare Commission has made the board aware of its concerns relating to certain management systems and processes operating in the Trust.

"As a precautionary measure the Trust has today (Monday) suspended its chief executive, Simon Yates, while these issues are further investigated."
