Hanging baskets stolen

HANGING baskets given as a present to an elderly woman by her son were stolen from outside her home in Grangemoor, Runcorn, last week.

The flowers, worth around £25 each, were stolen during the night by offenders who climbed over a fence and onto garden chairs to get to them.

"My son bought me them to cheer me up and now this has happened," the 62-year-old said. "It's terrible around here now."
