Crash driver failed to stop

A CALLANDS man has pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident.

Stuart Rea, an 18-year-old from Barmouth Close, also admitted driving without due care and attention, failing to report an accident, using an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without a licence.

He admitted hitting the back of a car driven by Hilary Foot with his Piaggio 50cc scooter, in Loushers Avenue, Latchford, on March 1.

Rea told Warrington Magistrates' Court: "I'm sorry. I just panicked."

He was fined £350, ordered to pay £150 compensation, and was banned from driving for the next six months.
