A FLEET of six modern new buses with extra legroom and digital displays has arrived in Warrington.
Warrington Borough Transport unveiled the vehicles at the Town Hall last week.
They are 'easy access' buses specially designed for wheelchair and buggy users, and they have ultra-clean low emission engines.
The buses also have new LED destination displays for easy reading in the dark and, in response to requests from customers, they have been fitted with continental style extra legroom.
They also have on-board CCTV for passenger and driver safety.
Warrington Borough Transport is modernising its fleet and the new buses bring the total the 52.
Nigel Featham, managing director said: "Investment in new buses is a vital part of the modernising process.
"However, it does not stop there. Real Time Passenger Information screens have been fitted to 180 bus stops and 250 new shelters have been installed.
"This will be complemented by the new state of the art bus station to be open next May."
