Man still hopeful reward will work

A WINSFORD man who put up a £1,000 reward for information following a burglary at his home has been left disappointed by the response.

Arthur Warner, 49, of Middlewich Road, was so angry to discover thieves had stolen £5,500 of fishing tackle that he put up the reward in an attempt to bring them to justice.

But since the report in last week's Guardian, Arthur has not received any information.

He said: "I'm still hopeful that someone may come forward and the reward is there for them if they do."

The burglary took place between August 2 and 3 when thieves broke into a shed at Arthur's home and took equipment including nets, poles and rods.

Arthur is now hoping forensic evidence will lead to police to the offenders.

Anyone with information about the thefts can contact police on 01606 48000 or Arthur on 07971 326359.
