The building blocks of staying safe

A HOUSE builder is urging school children in Hollins Green to be aware of the dangers of playing on building sites during the summer holidays.

Redrow, the house builder responsible for a new homes development at Brow Farm, on School Lane, is keen to make children aware of the pitfalls of playing at or near building sites.

Dave Ford, the company's health and safety manager, attended St Helen's CE Primary School, just before the holidays, to give a presentation to pupils about staying safe.

Pupils also watched a short video and were given an activity pack with the company's mascot, Buster the bear, designed to help children learn about the hazards.
