Johns surfs in, Tuesday

A FRENZY of excitement is set to hit town next week when Wolves' star signing Andrew Johns arrives in Warrington on Tuesday.

Johns will play in Newcastle Knights' final game of the NRL season at St George Illawarra on Sunday, in a game that will be televised by Sky at 10.30am.

He will then fly to England and spend valuable training time with his new teammates before making his debut against Leeds at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on September 10.

Less than 1,500 tickets remain for the match and fans are urged to buy early to avoid disappointment, as a sell-out is expected.

Supporters can buy their tickets at the club's shop, Wolfware, or by telephone on 248888.

Johns scored a try and was again in sparkling form as NRL bottom club Newcastle won their seventh game in a row against Cronulla on Saturday.
