Recognition and reward

A PLEASING performance was recorded at County High School Leftwich with seven per cent more top grades achieved in comparison to 2004.

Acting head Paul Twambley said: "Results in maths, history and music were outstanding. With our new media arts specialist status in mind we are encouraged by the fine results in ICT, media studies and art.

"We are very pleased the hard work of all our students has been recognised and rewarded."

Chairman of governors Alison Massey was also enthusiastic about the results. She added: "I am delighted with a five per cent rise in the five A* to C figure and I wish to express my appreciation of the commitment of the staff and the support of our parents."
