Eurovision hopes for Lizzie

PROUD Brian and Jenny Massey of Cronton are looking forward to seeing their granddaughter Elizabeth attempt to represent the UK in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Elizabeth, 13, from Slough, performs under the stage name 'Lizzie M' and has reached the last eight of the competition after progressing through several heats in London.

Her dad Dave, who attended Widnes Sixth Form College, said: "She likes nothing better than to entertain and would love a career in the music industry.

"To have gained this opportunity at such an early age is simply brilliant and we hope the future opens up more possibilities for her."

Elizabeth, who also plays the guitar, will perform one of her own songs for the contest, entitled 'Devil in a Hood'.

The programme will be screened on ITV2 at 6.15pm this Saturday, September 3.
