Junior county event in full flow at Lymm

THE Cheshire Junior County Closed Tennis Championships conclude in Warrington tomorrow, Friday.

Action started at Lymm Tennis Club on Monday and finishes with the finals across several age groups.

Most of the top junior players in Cheshire have been taking part, while even younger players in the county competed in a mini tennis event, which was held at Bridgewater High School yesterday, Wednesday.

Cheshire's Lawn Tennis Association manager Caroline Rowe said: "It is very important for players at every age and level to have quality competitive opportunities to enable them to measure the outcome of their training on the court.

"These championships provide this opportunity at the end of the traditional summer season by enabling everyone from mini tennis players to 18-year-olds to play together in a huge festival of tennis."
