LYMM High School was the venue for a meeting of gifted and talented school pupils.
The summer challenge, which ran from August 3 until August 12, saw gifted pupils from years six and seven taking part.
The aim was to stretch their abilities with a series of challenging projects.
The youngsters were nominated to take part in the event by high schools and primary schools across the borough.
Clr Colin Froggatt, executive member for children's services at Warrington Borough Council, said: "We have some incredibly talented young people in our schools and the summer challenge is the perfect project to find new ways to stretch their minds, enhance their learning and develop their skills.
"We hope that many of these youngsters will take a lot of positives from this experience."
The free scheme has been made possible thanks to funding from the Government's standards grant - which every local education authority in the country, including Warrington, receives.
The challenge saw 30 young people take on the modern foreign language in the course. During the seven day period, they explored various languages in many different and novel ways.
The event at Lymm was the second to be staged in the town. Earlier this summer, pupils in Great Sankey explored the links between geography, crime and a famous historical crime with their own mock trial.
