A CROOK posing as a housing official distracted a pensioner while accomplices raided the 92-year-old's home.
Police are hunting the trio who struck at 10am on August 18, at the house in Windmill Hill, Runcorn.
The first man said he was from the Liverpool housing trust about the elderly man's fencing. He was white, 6ft tall, aged 25-30, of slim build with short ginger hair, long sideburns and wore a dark blue jumper. Two other men entered through a rear window and took cash. They left through the front door. The first man was white, in his 30s, 6ft tall, of broad build, and wore a long-sleeved shirt and dark trousers. He possibly had missing teeth. His accomplice was white, 5ft 6ins tall, of broad build, with shaved fair hair and wore a dark blue T-shirt with horizontal white stripes on it.
