Did you see Bigfoot stalk across town?

MORE than 120 people set out on 'one heck of a trek' to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society .

The third annual Bigfoot Challenge saw walkers set out from Reaseheath College, Nantwich, on a three day, 50 mile hike, in a bid to raise £350,000 towards research into the incurable disease.

Angela Lavelle, aged 33, from Crewe Road, Nantwich, joined the walk for the first time in aid of friends who she has seen suffer from MS.

Limbering up in the rain before setting off, Angela said: "Growing up in Ireland I knew a whole family who all had MS.

"It was so sad because they were the richest family in the village but nothing could be done for them."

She added: "One lady I am close to has had the condition for over 30 years and is an inspiration to me.

"I have good health and like walking so I try to use it for the benefit of others."

A wonderful atmosphere and team spirit helped the walkers keep going and many friendships were made, especially during social evenings in a huge tented city in Malpas.
