STUDENTS across Warrington are looking to the future after collecting their A-level results on Thursday.
Priestley College recorded a bumper year with 99 per cent of students gaining a pass grade at A-level (A to E), which was above the national average of 97 per cent.
There were 24 subjects taken at the college with a 100 per cent pass rate.
One of the best performing students was Howard Wong at Bridgewater High School, he scored four As in biology, chemistry, maths and further maths and is soon to be packing to study medicine at Cambridge University.
Katy Whiteway at Great Sankey High School also scored a straight run of As.
She picked up top grades in maths, chemistry, biology, physics and general studies. She is now off to study medicine at Liverpool University.
At Warrington Collegiate, husband and wife Peter and Anna Head of Walton Road, Stockton Heath, had a double celebration.
Both studied Spanish at the Collegiate and both achieved a grade C.
